Only just started, but aim to finish the engine, gearbox and suspension swap in time to take her to the Bavaria Tour in June. I'll post on this thread when new pages are added.
2 litre high compression engine with a schrick 292 cam. For the moment she'll be fed by a downdraught weber 38/38 using the original early air filter arrangement.
with this set up did you get 150bhp or more:?:
is stil comfortable for road use:?:
next step:?: weber 40 DCOE or 45 DCOE:?:

Probably a bit less than 150bhp, must good torque - a very driveable road engine, with not too many revs. Next step would be twin 45's with a good exhaust manifold, but I need to remanufacture the early Alpina air-box to fit round the battery. Like this:
